Frequently Asked Questions

When are the 2024 Henty Machinery Field Days?  Tuesday 17th, Wednesday 18th & Thursday 19th September 2024.

What time do the gates open?  Gates open at 8am and will close to the public at 5pm

Where are the field days situated?  We are approximately half way between Wagga Wagga and Albury.  Henty township is on the Olympic Way and the field days site is 8km east of Henty on the Cookardinia Road.  The first thing visitors from either the east or the west will see are the public carparks.  Head in either these entrances, find a park and then head to the gates for entry.

How long will it take to get there? Traffic is usually very heavy during the three days of the field days.  Our suggestion is to check on on a maps program/app how long it suggests from your destination and add a minimum of at least another hour to the suggested time.

How do I prepare for a day at the field days?

  • Check the weather forecast and dress accordingly.  The Henty Machinery Field Days will go ahead no matter what the weather forecast.
  • Make sure you wear comfortable shoes. There are 14km of shop fronts to explore.
  • Bring a hat and sunscreen.
  • Pack some water.  There are food sheds on site who will also have water if you run out.

What food & drink is available on site?

There are 7 permanent food outlets on site that are operated by our local community groups.  We also have two other food courts with commercial vendors - located opposite the working dog trial area and at adjacent to the Farm Gate Produce Area.

Can I get cash out on site? Yes, there are ATM's on site 567 adjacent to the ANZ site.  Charges for withdrawals do apply.

Do you have parcel pick-up available?  Yes. For those large purchases you just can't carry around all day, you can ask the exhibitor that you purchased from to provide you with a form to fill out.  This form comes in with multiple layers.  Once complete, follow the instructions and you will need to drop a copy into the Parcel Pick-Up Booking Office on site 710.  The volunteers from Henty Park Tennis Club & St Josephs Catholic Church Culcairn will then organise for your goods to be collected and delivered to the gate of your choice.  Just remember which carpark you are in, either the East or West.

How do I find out what's on over the three days? HMFD, in conjunction with The Border Mail, produce an official publicaiton which has all the scheduled events listed.   This publication is distributed inside The Border Mail on Saturday 9th September and The Rural on Thursday 14th September.  They are also available when you arrive inside the East and West gates.

There will also be signs around the site which let you know what's going on each day.  Outside the main office there will be a big screen also with the days events listed.

Can I bring my dog? Dogs aren't permitted on site.  The only exceptions are dogs that are part of an exhibit, dogs competing in the working dog trials and dogs classified as companion or guide dogs (medical certification may be requested).
