Midwest’s high speed harvesting technology at Henty
The new Midwest Legacy model stands out with its innovative pro-cut guard design, ensuring long-lasting forged knife guards and a high-speed cutting system that delivers 20 per cent faster cutting speeds for a clean, even cut.
Additionally, the platform’s advanced drive systems, including a zero stretch, carbon fibre drive belt and dual oil filtration systems, ensure smooth operation and extended service life, making it a reliable and efficient choice for today’s modern farmers.
The combination of wider coverage and faster cutting minimises labour requirements and operational costs, allowing farmers to harvest more for less.
The Midwest Legcacy is an entry in the Henty Machine of the Year Award by Midwest Fabrication.
It is proudly all Australian family owned and manufactured with a rich history rooted in local innovation and engineering excellence.
Midwest remains the only global manufacturer to offer a 18.3m cutting width for large capacity combine harvesters over the past 10 years and now includes the John Deere X9 class 10 and 11 combines to its line-up.
This achievement is the result of continuous effort and dedication, combined with valuable feedback from our loyal customers, turning innovative world firsts into reality.
The Midwest range of draper fronts are an engineering marvel, performing effortlessly across all crops and terrains, including uneven ground, melon holes, and gilgai country.
A Midwest front follows ground contours without the use of electronic sensors, ensuring effective total cutting and gathering. The crop is cut and dropped directly onto the draper belt without the need to navigate a crude “hump” behind the knife.
Featuring a patented centre ball pivot and a main frame with five degrees of lateral tilt, the Midwest designed platforms also include a purpose-built feeder house adaptor with 125mm vertical float suspension.
This combination, along with large strategically placed land wheels that carry up to 40 per cent of the platform’s weight, allows the platform to float independently from the combine, adapting seamlessly to all-terrain contours.
Midwest continues to stand out as one of the market leaders in large capacity harvester draper platforms, and is locally represented by dedicated dealers across the country, adding value and lowering the cost of ownership.
