Field days partnership a natural fit for Redi 2 Hire

Nathan Maloney is Henty born and bred, has been involved with the Henty Machinery Field Days from an early age.

He spent his childhood helping his parents cook in the steakhouse to raise funds for the Henty Public School and also made parcel deliveries at the goods shed.

As an adult, he became an electrician and helped his colleague Rodney Gabriel each year making sure all the power was connected and working on every site.

Nathan grew up playing for the Henty Swampies AFL team and has sponsored the club for many years due to the strong connection of friends and family.

As the owner of Wodonga business, Redi 2 Hire, Nathan and his wife Melinda have been an exhibitor at the Henty Machinery Field Days for almost 10 years and last year became an official sponsor.

While living in Melbourne Nathan and Mel started their own electrical business and after nine years with a young family they decided to relocate to Table Top after opening Redi 2 Hire, an equipment hire and sales business, in Wodonga in 2014.

A member of the Hire and Rental Association Australia, Redi 2 Hire has a large range of hire equipment for access, compaction and excavation, compressors, concreting and bricklaying, generators and welders, landscaping and gardening, scaffolding, mini loaders, lifters, power tools, saws, demolition tools and trailers. 

“Our company is well renowned for being able to find anything people need at short notice. We provide a friendly, professional service to the Wodonga, Albury and surrounding region with an extensive range of new hire and sales equipment for use by the home handyman, tradesman, building, contractor, councils and industry,” Nathan said.

Due to the growth of Redi 2 Hire, in early 2024 a new sales division called Redi Group Equipment Sales was created to eliminate the confusion between hire and sales.

As well as Wacker Neuson machinery, Redi Group Equipment Sales is also sales and service agents for Ox Tools range of concrete hand tools, Digga attachments, Norm Engineering excavator and equipment attachments, Tracks, Wear Parts, Crommelins Machinery and hydraulic and engine oils from Penrite Oil.

“Henty is my home and any chance I get I like to get back there – we have been an exhibitor under Wacker Neuson so our business is a natural fit with the Henty Machinery Feld Days,” Nathan said.
