BAUER Rainstar T61 offers cost saving and precise irrigation

The latest irrigation electronics for precise control of precipitation rates on a robust, light weight chassis is an entry from BAUER GmbH Australia in the Henty Machine of the Year Award.

The hard hose traveller, Rainstar T61, features a two-wheel chassis with adjustable track width and hydraulic jack, and a revolving pipe reel with integrated hydraulic leg supports.

A hydraulic gun trolley has automatic angle compensation to keep the Rainstar T61 in an ideal position on uneven ground.

Supported with a mechanical winch and additional gearing, the Rainstar T61 has a hot dipped galvanised pipe drum, undercarriage, and turntable.

Launched in August 2024, it is equipped with the newly developed BAUER full flow turbine TVR 20, a BAUER four-speed gearbox with aerated brake and PTO rewind and has an automatic cart lift at the end of the irrigation strip.

Compatible with the SmartRain BAUER app, the Rainstair T61 is fitted with an ECOSTAR 4300 irrigation computer with a back-up battery and solar panel.

BAUER Rainstar has a range of models designed to accommodate any size and shape of farming system with cost and energy saving, user friendly irrigation. Laser-machine precision-toothed chain sprockets ensure precise chain drive and high reliability.

The pipe reel and steelwork are fully hot galvanised to ensure lasting value and high resale value. A modern design features central control and an easily accessible unit with an irrigation computer.

A new radial full flow turbine means cost and energy saving irrigation, particularly when low precipitation rates are applied.

No matter which field size or form, the innovative modular design of the Rainstar T61 easily adapts to every condition and offers tailer made equipment for every irrigation process.

The BAUER combi-wheel cart has an infinitely adjustable track, symmetric or asymmetric PE-pipe retraction and large clearance height. The large dimension tyres guarantee a safe irrigation process even in difficult terrain.

Irrigating with a boom cart guarantees a precipitation gentle to all crops and plants. Even a very low connection pressure is sufficient for operation and means efficient use of energy and water. The boom cart is made of steel and aluminium parts resulting in high stability despite its lightweight construction.

The SmartRain app allows simple monitoring and control of different irrigation machines directly from the smartphone or the office computer.

It gives a clear, visual representation of the irrigation machines on the field, and the operator can optimise the irrigation process by entering different irrigation sectors with participation rates.

SmartRain provides automatic evaluation and reports of operating hours wet/dry, water consumption and historical precipitation.

The latest irrigation electronics for precise control of precipitation rates, the ECOSTAR 4300 features SMS control and monitoring, a four-line display, irrigation status indication, permanent set-actual speed comparison, operation-hour counter, variable irrigation speed zones, and a precipitation indicator.

A solar panel and a 12-volt battery provides adequate power supply.
