Fresh from a win at the South East Asian Championships in Singapore, the Scots School Pipe Band will perform at the field days on the Wednesday at 1pm.
Wearing the Gordon tartan, the band features at many local and district functions throughout the year, and compete in pipe band competitions at juvenile and fourth grade level.
The pipe band was formed in 1956 when the school was the Albury Grammar School and was part of the cadet unit.
Albury Grammar amalgamated with another college to form the Scots School in 1972 with 2016 being the sesquicentenary year.
The pipe band consists of students from Years 4 to 12, with 54 students making up the present ensemble.
The band travelled to the 2016 World Pipe Championships in Scotland and also to the South East Asian Championships in Jakarta, being crowned 2014 and 2015 South East Asian champions.
In 2015, the band competed on Australia’s Got Talent, making the top 100 acts in the country.
In August last year, the band performed at the Edinburgh Military Tattoo, competed at the World Pipe Band championships and other competitions in Scotland.
The pipe major is George Henderson and drum sergeant is Kyle Blane-Brown.
