Local Land Services successful Fox Dog Lotto competition makes its return in 2018, with the major prize winners again set to be announced at the Henty Machinery Field Days.
The competition, run by Murray and Riverina Local Land Services, is designed to encourage landholders to undertake fox and wild dog control measures in a bid to reduce the populations of these pests.
Participating landholders are eligible for regular minor prize draws throughout the competition (a bag of dog food valued at $40) and also go into the major prize draw to win one of two boat and trailer packages (one per region).
Landholders with a property identification code (PIC) buying baits from Local Land Services are automatically entered in the draw.
They can also enter by sending in a photo of fox or dog control to firstname.lastname@example.org
Entries close on Friday, September 14, 2018, and the major prize winners will be drawn on Wednesday, September 19 at the Local Land Services shed at Henty (site 311, corner 5th Ag Place and 4th Farm Avenue).
Last year’s Fox Dog Lotto attracted more than 300 entries, with Howlong farmer Graham Wilson, and father and son farming team, Harold and Bryan Shore, Tumut, winning the boat and motor packages.
