Sports lover and one-eyed St Kilda supporter Britt Ditterich will have a chance to get back to her country upbringing when she visits the field days as part of the WIN TV team.
Britt grew up on a family farm at Woorinen South, in the Mallee, where her parents still live.
She loves nothing more than returning home to spend time heading around the stock with her grandfather.
Britt began her career in journalism as a cadet at Swan Hill’s The Guardian and made her move into television reporting in 2010 when she joined WIN’s Shepparton bureau.
In 2012, Britt joined WIN’s Bendigo team where she relished the opportunity to specialise as the North Central reporter, covering her home region.
The following year she was promoted to join the Ballarat newsroom as the senior court reporter and relief news and sports anchor.
Away from work, Britt is a St Kilda Football Club fan and enjoys spending time with her three dogs, Charlie, Barney and Boof.
Britt was a guest of the Henty Machinery Field Days last year, interviewing chairman Ross Edwards and reporting on the activities at Country Lifestyle, Farm Gate and yard dog trials.
She returns this year as a special guest and will be doing a weather report from the field days on the opening day, Tuesday, September 22.
Britt will be a guest speaker in the Country Lifestyle pavilion at 1.40pm on that day.
