New models of single and double disc seeders on show

The updated version of the Serafin Pasture King double disc will be on display at Henty.

The Australian made Baldan SD-CXP 5000 single disc combine will be debuted to the market at Henty by Griffith farm machinery distributor, Serafin.

Sales manager Rodney Dunn said Baldan and Tatu’s range of heavy duty offset and tandem offset discs had received plenty of attention this year.

Over the past 18 months, Serafin Machinery has launched four new models of single and double disc seeders including the popular Serafin Pasture King double disc range.

Mr Dunn said the Pasture King on display at Henty would carry modifications to the 2016 model.

“We have been listening to our clients about what they require from a disc seeder and we feel we have a range of machines that covers most customer requirements,’’ he said.

“Seed placement, serviceability, robustness and narrow transport widths are key areas.

“With this at the forefront of our minds, it has driven us to launch the Pasture King air seeder range for those looking for a narrow row spacing with double disc openers .

“It also has a narrow transport width of under 3.5m.

“This machine is easy to work on, is low maintenance, strong and uses the proven Tatu double disc openers providing class leading seed placement.

“We haven’t lost focus on our range of tillage products – our own Serafin ECO series range of small offsets is popular due to its price and quality.

“You don’t get much for under $10,000 nowadays but the ECO series bucks that trend.’’

Serafin will be at site K414/415 at Henty.
