screen-shot-2016-09-14-at-11-19-23-amSeasonal climatic updates plus high yielding crop trials across southern NSW will be under discussion at a grower’s research forum at the field days.

The Grain Research and Development Corporation (GRDC) will host the forum in conjunction with the NSW Department of Primary Industries on Wednesday, September 21.

Growers will have the opportunity to hear the latest on GRDC research, an in-season update focusing on disease, weed control at harvest and nutrition.

Topics will also include the progress of high yielding cereal and oilseed agronomy trials in southern NSW, and management options for the Russian Wheat Aphid.

Andrew Milgate will speak on cereal diseases, Mark Richards will outline Year of the Pulse, Rohan Brill will speak on canola agronomy and Graham Sandral will conclude with crop nutrition.

Starting at 11am, the grower update will conclude with a complementary lunch and refreshments, and an opportunity to meet key researchers from around the region.

New chair of the GRDC northern panel and grower services manager Sharon O’Keeffe and NSW DPI researchers will be at the GRDC site at 887-888, row R on Fourth Farm Avenue.
