The 2017 Toyota Star Maker winner, Rachael Fahim, will take to the stage at Farm Gate during this year’s Henty Machinery Field Days.
Since winning Star Maker, Rachael has toured Australia’s east coast and will be hosted on-site at Henty by Toyota dealers, Thomas Bros, Wagga.
She will perform at Farm Gate from 12 noon to 1pm on Wednesday, September 20.
Her prize includes performances at some of the biggest festivals in the country including Tamworth, Gympie, Deni, Mildura and the Central Coast.
Through her sponsor Chris Watson Travel, Rachael flew to Nashville where she performed at a special Australian event and attended the CMA Fest courtesy of CMA Nashville.
Growing up on the outskirts of Sydney, she fell in love with country music and began entering talent quests, rapidly gaining the name of the “country girl from the city’’.
During school, Rachael experienced bullying and turned to song writing as an emotional outlet.
Her songs feature catchy riffs, fun and quirky thoughts.
She released her debut single, Say It, which shot to number one on the iTunes charts and was in the Top 30 on CMC for several weeks.
At the 2014 MO awards, Rachael won the Johnny O’Keefe Encouragement Award.
She has performed at the Sydney Country Music Festival, North Queensland Freedom Festival and supported Daryl Braithwaite on several shows during his 2015 tour.
Rachael was top 10 finalist in the 2015 Toyota Star Maker, and crowned the winner this year after a powerful rendition of the Dolly Parton classic, Joelene.
She released her new upbeat single, Confetti, this year, and both the single and music video has enjoyed chart success on radio and CMC.
Rachael’s second and third singles, as part of her prize, are due out in the coming months.
