Celebrity chef James Reeson is set to film Network Ten’s popular TV show Alive and Cooking at the Henty Machinery Field Days.
James and his crew will be filming at the Farm Gate Produce Market area, on the southern side of the field days, on Wednesday, September 20.
The show takes a fresh approach to everyday cooking, providing simple yet delicious recipes that anyone can reproduce in their own home.
Alive and Cooking airs right across the country on the WIN network.
James combines his love of Australia’s lifestyle and scenery with original recipes to create a dynamic and entertaining show.
Over the years, Alive and Cooking has been to some incredible locations in every state, highlighting some of the best produce and ingredients from each region.
This also provides an opportunity for businesses, events and community groups to showcase their unique product, brand of cause to a national viewing audience.
HMFD chief executive officer Belinda Anderson said considering the Riverina and Murray Valley’s reputation as the nation’s food bowl, the Alive and Cooking segment would be an opportunity for exhibitors to showcase gourmet food and wine grown or value added in the region.
Mrs Anderson said James would be using the taste and flavour sensations from the region to present some exciting dishes to field day exhibitors and the viewing audience.
Field day visitors will be able to watch James, producer Geoff Platts and the crew filming the episode of Alive & Cooking from 10am to 12 noon, and again from 2pm to 4pm.
They are also taking part in a tour of the Murray Valley’s gourmet food destinations.
