The tillage tool specialists, Points Direct, will be Henty this year with a range of minimum till points, discs and coulters, seed and fertiliser boots, press wheels and air seeder hoses.
The Wagga based business can source all ground engaging requirements and stocks the premium slimwedge cultivation points by Canadian manufacturer, McKay Tillage Tools.
Points Direct manufacture on-site granulated tungsten hardfacing and tungsten carbide tiles, and sell high quality boron discs.
Managing director John Keogh said the business stocked a range of knife points and exchangeable tips to fit North American chisel ploughs and airseeders.
“We do a range of heavy duty knife points from 55 to 65 degrees, and a wing knife point, with some products made from hard wearing NiHard material,’’ Mr Keogh said.
“A lot of our products are backed up with a granulated tungsten, have been proven in the field and come with a warranty.’’
Mr Keogh said Points Direct manufactured points to suit the latest machines including Vaderstad Seedhawk, John Deere 1870 Conserva Pack and Bourgault Paralink.
“Our cast seeding points are designed in-house with feedback from farmers,’’ he said.
John and his wife Vicki moved to Wagga from Rochester 15 years ago to take on a franchise in granulated hardfacing tiles before going on to establish Points Direct.
They now employ five full-time staff, have a factory in the Bomen industrial area and access to a nationwide freight network.
Points Direct stock net wrap with a high UV rating to suit the extremes of the Australian climate.
“We have press wheels from Manutec, Primary Sales and Agmaster, and are stockists of spare parts for all leading Australian manufacturers.’’ Mr Keogh said.
“We can supply most brands of earthmoving bucket teeth, and have a full range of Fuch’s oils and lubricants.’’
Points Direct has been an exhibitor at Henty Machinery Field Days for the past 15 years, with the honour of displaying the first grain bagging machine in the country.
