Bondi boys to turn up the heat in the kitchen at Henty’s Farm Gate

Bondi boys, Scott Gooding and Luke Hines will showcase their uncomplicated, healthy eating style to Henty Machinery Field Day visitors at the Farm Gate Market.

Bondi boys Luke Hines and Scott Gooding hit the nation’s television screens with their healthy recipes when they scored four perfect 10s in My Kitchen Rules.

Not only did they impress MKR judges Pete Evans and Manu Fidel, the pair also converted a legion of fans to a long-term holistic lifestyle based around nutritious food.

Courtesy of Coles, Luke and Scott will be appearing at this year’s Henty Machinery Field Days to showcase their cooking style and philosophy at the Farm Gate Produce Market.

They will appear at Farm Gate on Thursday, September 25 from 11am to 2.30pm, preparing for visitors a Chilli-salt scotch fillet with chimichurri and a red cabbage slaw.

Since MKR, Luke and Scott have released Clean Living, a fully illustrated three-week exercise program and menu plan of paleo-style food.

This was followed by the recipe book Clean Living Cookbook, with two more books written for the Clean Living series due for release later this year.

They are now the resident foodies on Channel Seven’s program Live Well.

Luke’s aim is to present in the health, wellness and lifestyle television genres both in Australia and internationally, inspiring the world to train hard, eat clean and feel good.

The 29-year-old has worked as a presenter on Weekend Sunrise, owns personal training business Bondi PT and was a health and fitness consultant on Angelina Jolie’s new movie “Unbroken’’.

He met Scott at a Bondi café in 2008.

“Like Scott, I want to prove to Australia that healthy food can be tasty food,’’ Luke said.

“We believe in a long-term holistic lifestyle of health. We don’t think eating well should be complicated.’’

Luke said the pair support restaurants promoting the “paddock to plate’’ concept, sourcing from local growers.

“Our new books are paleo cooking – or healthy food in its most natural state,’’ he said.

“It is not raw food but more or less eating from the land.

“Although we are not directly connected to the farming community, we enjoy sourcing new ingredients for our cookbooks and dinner parties.’’

Scott, 36, is an advocate for health and fitness, and promotes the path towards optimal health.

The UK born personal trainer played semi-professional soccer and studied leisure/sports science at university before moving to Sydney in 1999.

He launched SGF Bootcamps in 2005, providing early morning classes using total body conditioning, high intensity workouts and intervals to his Bondi clients.

Scott owes his interest in cooking to his parents who ran hotels in London.

“Now I have my own son (Tashi), I want to lead with a good example,’’ he said.

“I’d love to have a nutrition re-education crusade like Jamie Oliver. I truly believe the healthiest start in life helps build foundations for a happy future.’’

He aims to share his message about health and positively influence what people eat and how they move on a daily basis.
