Visitors and exhibitors at this year’s Henty Machinery Field Days are set to benefit from the convenience of two automatic teller machines and cash handling facilities.
The field days Co-operative has joined forces with Hume Bank to provide the facilities for the more than 800 exhibitors and 60,000 visitors expected.
There will be two automatic teller machines on site – one on the Main Road opposite the field days office, and another adjacent to the Farm Gate Produce area.
Although cash handling has been provided in the past, the ATMs are new additions.
HMFD chief executive officer Belinda Anderson said the co-operative was pleased to announce Hume Bank as the major financial sponsor of the field days.
“Henty Machinery Field Days is extremely proud of its heritage and the milestone of the 50th anniversary in 2013,’’ Mrs Anderson said.
“2014 sees us looking forward to the next 50 years, and with that comes new opportunities.
“Hume Bank will provide ATM and change facilities on-site for visitors and exhibitors.
“This will allow people to obtain cash at two different locations during the event.’’
Hume Bank chief executive officer Andrew Saxby said the financial institution was proud to be partnering one of Australia’s premier agricultural events.
“Hume Bank is excited to become the banking sponsor for the Henty Machinery Field Days,’’ Mr Saxby said.
“The field days are such an important part of the local community with so many local schools, businesses and organisations involved, many of whom also bank with Hume.’’
Hume’s Clancy Koala will be on hand at the field days to help children open new accounts, along with face painting and colouring competitions.
